Physical Description

Rover is a domestic short-haired tabby street boy with a pale grey tabby coat.

Known History & Temperament

Rover was hanging around a kind lady’s home, and with help from others in the cat rescue community she was able to get him trapped and into foster care. He was very scared and overwhelmed due to the huge day he had leading up to vet work. He was found to be FIV+ and had a sore looking eye. After his vet work and health check, there was a worry he would be hard to handle in order to medicate. To everyone’s surprise and delight, it all went quite smoothly, and Rover has turned out to be very helpful to his carer allowing her to treat him.

Purrfect Home

Right now we aren’t advertising Rover for an adoptive home, as we need to see how his medical conditions progress (see Health Notes below). He is adapting well to being indoors in his foster home, and we feel that he will eventually make a lucky family very happy. He has a bit of socialising left to do before we give him the ‘adoption-ready’ tick of approval.

Health Notes

It looks as if Rover may have a mild case of entropion (a condition affecting the eyelids) in both eyes. He may need surgery, but we are waiting to see how he is after he finishes the meds he’s currently on.
