Physical Description

Mr Moonlight is an older short-haired tabby gentleman. His left ear has some fightin’ scars, the tip of his tail has a crick in it, and he’s somewhat lacking in canine teeth.

Known History & Temperament

Moo was initially found in the street in Baldivis with an injured tail. He was microchipped, and his owners were contacted, but as they were unable to take him back, he came into care with IFR. He has moved through several foster homes because wherever he goes, at least one cat in each household seems to take an issue with him, leading to fights. Whilst Moo hasn’t been seen to start any fights, he doesn’t back down from them, but usually ends up getting his butt kicked.

At one point, Mr Moonlight escaped from foster care and spent over 100 days roaming during a particularly hot summer. He was being attacked by a dog when he was scooped up and taken back to the pound, thankfully in much better health than could have reasonably been expected. He has since recovered fully from his hot guy summer, and is back at fighting fitness.

He’s very polite and gentle, and loves people.

Cattitude Level

  • Totally chill, not bovvered
  • Affectionate as heck – prefers cuddles to anything else

Interests and Hobbies

He seems to be at his happiest when he’s just hanging out quietly with a human. He also likes watching birdwatching, sleeping, and gazing at humans in adoration. He also likes to groom his favourite humans. He loves pats, particularly on the head and neck, but pretty much anywhere other than his belly is fair game. He’s a lap guy, only not a lap guy – he sits next to people, usually as close as possible, and often insists on draping himself across an arm or leg while gazing at them in adoration.

He has issues with other cats disliking him for no apparent reason. He doesn’t seem to have a problem with other cats, but will defend himself if someone tries to start something with him.

He isn’t a huge fan of being picked up and carried, but will endure it politely to an extent.

Purrfect Home

Ideally someone who is home most of the time, because Moo loves having human company. He’s fine with other cats as long as they are respectful of his boundaries, but as he has such a history of being picked on, would probably be best suited to life as an only cat. Older kids would be fine, but as he startles easily, younger kids probably wouldn’t be such a great idea.

Health Notes

Damaged/missing canine teeth, previously broken tail. Otherwise seems a healthy guy.
