Marbles is a very cute, fairly small male tabby cat who gets called “generic tabby” to his super adorable face. He is, as yet, an untouchable, so we can’t comment on the quality of his coat. His foster carer would so love to give him a decent brush!
Known History & Temperament
Marbles is an undomesticated boy who came from a location where a clowder of cats resided. He was in care for quite a while with two of the other cats who came from that same location. One of those cats is now adopted, but Marbles and his possible relative (sister? cousin? mum?) Pebbles remain in care together. Marbles is the least domesticated of those three. He has a demanding meow which he learned to do from being in company with other, more meowy, cats. He is very sweet but still won’t allow himself to be patted. His carer has managed to brush fingers against his fur at most.
- Shy, gentle, tentative
- Scared and shy – prefers cats to people
Interests and Hobbies
Marbles really loves food – it’s his main passion in life, other than other cats. He is definitely a “cat’s cat”, and wouldn’t do well as the only feline in a household. He loves to snuggle with his fellow kitties and groom them/be groomed by them. It’s a good thing he’s healthy because he doesn’t allow himself to be captured easily. We hope vet visits won’t be required for quite some time for this little cutie.
Marbles doesn’t like being harassed by humans. It’s best that we just accept him for who he is – a generic tabby with a face full of love, as long as we keep our distance from him.
Marbles would suit a household where cuddles aren’t a requirement or even a hope. He might allow pats in future for all we know, but for now he needs a family that understands him. He also needs a home with other cats. He needs an indoor home, preferably with a cat enclosure as he loves his freedom, but we want to keep him safe.
Marbles is a healthy and happy boy whose weight can sometimes fluctuate, depending on how much he is scoffing. His carer tries for decent portion control for him and he is looking great at the moment!
