IFR TeamUpdated on January 3, 2023July 28, 2022

This magnificent beastie was trapped the other week by one of our foster carers who works in an industrial area in Perth. He started out very “angy” indeed but is coming along well thanks to the efforts of his foster carer.

We love the boofy street cats around here, and can’t wait to see how this Lionel 2.0 adapts to his new life indoors.

  • πŸ’˜ LOLA πŸ’˜
Lola has been hard at work raising her babies, and now that they're ready for adoption, Lola is also ready to find her forever home!
This is what Lola's foster mum wrote about her:
"We don’t know anything prior to Lola coming into care. Her previous owner showed promising interest in wanting her back but for whatever reason has not made contact. Lola came into care with four babies, she did the hard yards till her babies were 5 weeks old when she started weaning her babies. Lola is so deserving of her forever home like all IFR kitties. She is so affectionate and yearning for a home to call her own. She could possibly live with another cat with the right introduction. She has settled so much since her [spey] surgery. She is affectionate, hoping once her babies have been adopted she can have a bigger space so she can play."

  • πŸ€πŸ’™ SIMBA πŸ’™πŸ€
We recently took in a kitty called Simba (not the other Simba we've told you about previously, who we still have in care also), and he has settled in so well to foster care.
Simba had to be surrendered because of the rental crisis - sadly a familiar tale to every animal rescue these days. His foster carers say of Simba:
"He is a really sweet boy who loves to play, but also enjoys just sitting around and watching the world go by. He doesn’t like cuddles too much, but loves a good belly rub and chin scratch (only when he wants it of course)."
Simba loves to chill on the couch, but also to play like a mad kitty (he has some favourite toys). Oh, and did we mention he loves food?
Simba is looking for a new forever home.

  • ** SCAM WARNING **
If you are tagged in any comments like this, about the sale of IFR "apparel", or similar things that cost money, please know that it is a scam.
Firstly, we're not organised enough (nor do we have enough volunteers to change that) to have apparel for sale!
Secondly, even if we did have apparel for sale, we would have it featured on our website https://ifrescue.net - if you visit our website you'll see there's lots of other stuff on there, but nothing like a shop.
If you do get tagged in comments relating to anything IFR that involves the handover of money, and you're not sure about it because it seems quite convincing - please message us about it.
Go away, scammers 😑
  • 🧑 GINGER BOY 🧑
Ginger Boy has come a long way from the hissy guy he used to be. He is now even learning to play!
Ginger Boy is available to adopt, to the right family. Check out his bio to see if he might be right for your home:

Express interest via our Adopt page:

  • MORO, PEBBLES, SNICKERS & TWIX
These four babies are now eight weeks old and ready for expressions of interest! If you would like to meet any of these little ones, visit our website and fill out an Expression of Interest form!
Their foster carer will be happy to chat to you about their different purrsonalities and who might suit your household best.
Did you know that experts recommend adopting kittens in pairs where possible? Alternatively, already having a fairly young cat for the kitten to play with is great for the kitten's growth going forward.

Impound Feline Rescue operates out of Perth, Western Australia, with foster carers all over the Perth metropolitan area. We couldn’t do what we do without our amazing volunteers.
